Mountaineer X Team takes first

Iron Mountain bowling teams performed extremely well in the UP Team Finals Saturday February 1.
The X Team was crowned UP champions. They qualified fourth, then beat the Westwood X-A team to take on Marquette. They then beat Marquette in three straight games in a best of five match. Team members include: Signe Trindal, Sabrina Markey,
Marissa Campbell, David Nanninga, Hayden Henes, Gage Kusmitch and Aiden Niemi.
The X Team coaches are Kevin Hanson and Hanna Bastian.
The Girls Team qualified third, but fell in three straight games of matchplay to Westwood. Team members include: Abby Ward, Chloe Roell, Joleigh Osieczonek, Amelia Gustafson, Laci Miles and Lilah Schafer. The Girls Team coaches are Eli Ward
and Cathy Tomassoni.
The Boys Team was top qualifier, out pacing #2 seed Westwood by 267 pins. They won the first round in 3 games, taking on Westwood in the final round. In a hard-fought
match, the Mountaineers found themselves in second place. Team members are Blake Flaminio, Aiden Bourassa, Bryce Salo, Gavin Dubose and Chase Hallman. They are coached by Pete Tomassoni and Kevin Hanson.
