Macy Linsenbigler commits to Gogebic College

Iron Mountain High School is proud to announce that senior Macy Linsenbigler, daughter of Kristin and Matthew Linsenbigler, has committed to play Basketball and Volleyball at NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Division II Gogebic Community College. Macy plans to study Nursing, and to then attend Northern Michigan University. 

Notable accomplishments in her four years on the IMHS court include being named Second Team All-Conference (Volleyball) and Honorable Mention (Basketball) her junior year. Her senior year, she was given the honor of Mid-Peninsula Conference 1st Team and West-PAC 2nd Team (Volleyball). In Basketball, she was named Mid-Peninsula Conference 1st Team and West-PAC 2nd Team her senior year.

Off the court, Macy participated in a variety of extracurriculars including Varsity Club, Key Club, Mountaineer Mindset, Tri-Hi-Y, Student Council, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Macy’s parent’s, Kristin and Matthew Linsenbigler and sister Brittin attended the signing celebration, along with Iron Mountain Athletic Director, Brad Perry. IMHS Varsity Volleyball coach Jeanne Newberry and IMHS Varsity Girls Basketball coach, Chad Lindeman were also in attendance. McKenzie Sharrow, Gogebic College Volleyball coach was present at the celebration, not pictured are Coaches Erika Greenleaf (Gogebic Volleyball) and Denver Sharrow (Gogebic Girls Basketball). Multiple family members including Kim and Don Dinnocenzo, Margaret and Ken Linsenbigler, Ashley and Mike Weslin and friends were also in attendance.
