Cooper Pigeon commits to University of Wisconsin-Parkside

Iron Mountain High School is proud to announce that senior Cooper Pigeon, son of Shelly and Joseph Pigeon, has committed to play Golf at NCAA Division II University of Wisconsin- Parkside. Cooper plans to study Mathematics, with plans to pursue a degree in Land Surveying.

Cooper has been playing golf for 15 years, and a recent accomplishment includes being named the D2 U.P. State Golf Champion (2024). Cooper says that “It’s been a dream of mine to play collegiate golf since I started competing.”

Off the course, Cooper participated in a variety of extracurriculars including National Honor Society, Youth Advisory Council, Key Club, and Varsity Club. He has also been awarded the PE Department Senior Award. When not golfing, Cooper enjoys hunting and fishing.

Cooper's parents, Shelly and Joseph Pigeon attended the signing celebration, along with Iron Mountain Athletic Director, Brad Perry. IMHS Varsity Golf coach Steve Flaminio was also in attendance. Aunt Marie Lange, Aunt Terese Anderson, and Grandmother Nancy Sell also attended.
